Tempo d'Angelus is a Bordeaux red wine, made primarily from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, offering a harmonious balance of freshness, complexity, and richness, with an elegant structure and silky tannins.

General Description
Appellation: Bordeaux
Estate: Château Angelus
Packaging: 75cl bottle
Grape varieties: 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc (for the 2022 vintage)
Type of wine: Red wine, aged in barriques (usually 18 months)
Vineyard origin: Parcels located in Saint-Magne-de-Castillon, Castillon-la-Bataille, and Sainte-Colombe, on clay-limestone soils typical of the Bordeaux region, promoting optimal grape ripeness
Environmental certification: Estate certified HVE3 (High Environmental Value), demonstrating biodiversity-friendly management and sustainable agricultural practices

Tasting Profile
Nose: Complex, with notes of fresh red fruits (cherries, small berries), flowers, spices, as well as hints of wood, tobacco, camphor, and light smoke
Palate: Velvety and full-bodied start, supple and fine tannins, balance between freshness and power, rich and lingering finish
Style: Structured, rich, and accessible wine, best enjoyed young without waiting several years, unlike the more powerful grand crus of the same Château
Alcohol content: Approximately 13%

Vinification and Aging
Vinification carried out in a dedicated modern winery, the "Chai Carillon", with state-of-the-art equipment ensuring optimal aroma extraction and consistent quality
Partially aged in new barriques for approximately 18 months, which brings finesse and complexity to the wine while preserving the freshness of the fruit

Tasting Recommendations
Serving temperature: Between 16 and 18°C
Food and wine pairing suggestions: Pairs perfectly with grilled red meats (beef fillet, duck breast), dishes in sauce (coq au vin), or regional specialties such as cassoulet

Recommended to decant 30 to 60 minutes before tasting to fully release the aromas

Vintages and Aging Potential
Tempo d'Angelus is designed to be enjoyed in its youth, with an aging potential of up to approximately 6 years depending on the vintage (for example, until 2026 for the 2022)
It is a more accessible and quicker-drinking cuvée than the classic grand crus of Château Angelus

This cuvée represents a modern and refined expression of the Bordeaux tradition, combining the depth and complexity characteristic of Château Angelus with a more immediate and versatile approach for discerning enthusiasts
