Classification: 2nd wine of Château Talbot, one of the oldest second wines in Médoc (first vintage in the 1960s).

Blend and aging
Grape varieties: Approximately 64% Merlot and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon according to most sources.
Aging: Aged 15 months in barriques with nearly 15% new oak, ensuring a beautiful integration of tannins and a developed aromatic complexity.
Yield: Compliant with the AOC with a rigorous selection of bunches.

Sensory profile and tasting
Color: Medium to deep garnet, with purple reflections.
Nose: Intense aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, red cherry), with smoky, herbal, minty notes, and woody nuances of vanilla and cedar. Sometimes mushroom and pencil lead notes are perceived.
Palate: Full, silky attack, with a firm and tannic structure, a certain suppleness and elegance, accompanied by a long, fresh, and well-defined finish. Delicate wine, pleasant to drink young but also capable of aging.
