Château La Lagune is a prestigious red wine from Haut-Médoc, renowned for its careful aging, typical blend, and elegance, presented in a 75cl bottle.
Terroir and Vineyard
Château La Lagune is located on the fine gravels of Médoc, an area renowned for its light soils based on quartz, calcite, and agate, which ensure excellent drainage and good sun exposure. The vineyard covers approximately 82 hectares, with an average vine age of around 30 years, promoting the concentration and finesse of the grapes. The vines are traditionally trained using the double guyot system, with careful viticulture that respects the vineyard as closely as possible to ensure high-quality fruit
Blend
The wine is a classic Médoc blend composed mainly of:
Cabernet Sauvignon (approximately 60-65%)
Merlot (approximately 30%)
Petit Verdot (approximately 5%)
These grape varieties harmonize power, tannic structure, and elegance
Vinification and Aging
Vinification is carried out by parcel, with triple manual and optical sorting to retain only the finest berries. The extraction of tannins and anthocyanins is carefully controlled to ensure the wine's elegance and balance.
The wine is aged in French oak barrels, with 50% replaced each year, and undergoes several rackings to remove the coarse lees and favor aging on fine lees, resulting in a deep and structured wine.
Organoleptic Characteristics

A complex nose marked by aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), notes of cedar, sweet spices, and tobacco
On the palate, a supple start, silky tannins, beautiful freshness, and a perfect balance between power and elegance
