The 2011 vintage, produced in a dry and early year, yields a wine of great elegance, with a clear ruby color and violet highlights. The bouquet is characterized by intense and complex aromas blending cedar, smoke, menthol, licorice and notes of small black fruits such as blackberry and blueberry. On the palate, the attack is fine and fresh, the mid-palate is powerful and velvety with satiny tannins enveloped in subtle aromas of violet, red fruits and pepper. The vineyard composition is atypical for Saint-Émilion: approximately 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Merlot, which gives the wine a beautiful aromatic freshness and a remarkable tannic structure.
