A sacred drink, a living heritage
Tequila Azul is much more than just a spirit. It is the expression of ancestral Mexican craftsmanship, inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list. Made exclusively from Agave Tequilana Weber Azul (blue agave), it is produced in a clearly defined region of Mexico, centered around the state of Jalisco.
Blue Agave: a botanical treasure
The "azul" (blue) variety of agave is the only one authorized for producing 100% agave tequila. It takes between 7 and 10 years to grow before being harvested by hand by the jimadores, guardians of tradition.
This maturation period gives Tequila Azul its unique aromas:
- Notes of white pepper, citrus, and agave honey
- Botanical sweetness and a round mouthfeel
- Mineral or woody finish, depending on the aging
Tasting ideas
- As an aperitif: Tequila Blanco + tonic + lime
